Fund of Funds Portfolio
The Evolvence India Funds operates with a diversified fund portfolio across sectors, including real estate and infrastructure projects in India. It dedicates 60% investments to reputed Fund Managers and 40% to co-investments. The co investment deal flow is managed transparent to EIF’s Limited Partners thus providing them an opportunity to participate alongside the Fund in select cases.
As of Jan 2006, EIF has taken LP interest with Six Fund Managers – GW Capital’s India Value Fund II , Barings (India) Private Equity Fund II, IL&FS India Leverage Fund , IDFC Private Equity (Mauritius) Fund II , New York Life Investment Managament India Fund II and UTI Venture’s Ascent India Fund. The underlying funds had in turn themselves invested in 36 portfolio companies as of Jan 2006.
